Membership and oaths
The Guild welcomes apprentice mages, rangers, and craftfolk who agree to the charter and complete a supervised trial. New members swear to protect travellers, respect the old forests, and uphold fair trade in the market towns. In return, the Guild provides lodging, instruction, and access to the archive of maps and spellwork.
Journeymen earn their badge by completing three commissions: one rescue, one escort, and one investigation. Masters may sponsor novices and are responsible for mediating disputes before they reach the council of elders.
Codes and customs
Contracts are recorded by scribe and sealed with wax to prevent tampering. Treasure claims are split by a simple rule: tools are returned to their owners, debts are paid first, and the remainder is divided by risk and contribution.
